Stand & Move at Work II, as the second phase of the Stand & Move at Work project, will evaluate the implementation of the SMW tool kit into workplaces which already have sit-to-stand workstations and would like to more fully utilize them for employee health & wellness. This study started August 10th 2020 and is currently enrolling eligible worksites. Collaborators are Mark Pereira at University of Minnesota, Paul Estabrooks at University of Utah, and Genevieve Healy at the University of Queensland (Australia).

The StandUPTV Study incorporates a smartphone-based solution to reduce sedentary screen time in working-age adults. The study began in September 2019 with several rounds of user design and feedback to validate the StandUPTV smartphone application; recruitment for the main study, which will use the application to deliver interventions, began in the Spring of 2021. This study is a collaboration with Dr. Sarah Kozey Keadle's laboratory at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

This randomized crossover trial is being performed in collaboration with the College of Health Solutions Metabolic Health Translational Team (MHTT). We will compare the efficacy of two 2-week interventions–which incorporate a novel smartphone application to encourage increases in standing or moving at the hourly level–to interrupt sitting time and improve cardiometabolic biomarkers in sedentary office workers (N=15).
